So, this is the fifth and last maintenance release for WinAutomation 4.0. We are very close to finish our version 5 (and make the beta available to those who are interested in testing the new features) and in the meantime we have gathered a few bugfixes and packed them in v 4.0.5.

As usual, all maintenance releases (including this one) do not contain new features, so you will not notice anything exciting in 4.0.5 (keep your excitement for v5!). At this stage the bugs are really obscure and rare to find, however it is always advisable that you have the latest version available, as you never know when you will find yourself in that annoying situation to confront a bug what has already been corrected. On top of that we have also included some performance optimizations and having your Jobs running faster is always nice.

You can download the latest release from our Download page. If you have already installed a previous version of WinAutomation v4 the installer will locate your v4 license and the trial time limit will be removed.

That's all for v4, now we get back to work to finish and polish the last features for v5. We'll let you all know through the blog and forum when it is ready. Stay tuned!

How do I get the v5 beta and a list of its features? I am interested in getting another install or two for some other machines and 5 will be the likely candidate.

I'm having an issue with WinAutomation opening two browser windows with the "Launch New Internet Explorer (Launch Automation Browser)" task. This prevents me from being able to close the web browser because I get an error: "Failed to assume control of Internet Explorer because the initial URL 'http://blahblahblah.com' is invalid" The URL is valid and the page loads fine, but I can't get around this on this 4.0.5 release. I'm running Windows Server 2008. Any advice? Thanks!

Will be great if the triggers were available with a Complied Job. Do you plan to offer it?
