Another maintenance release has been carefully cooked and is ready to serve! As always, maintenance releases (the ones where only the third number of the version is increased) are free upgrades for licensed users and only contain minor improvements and bug fixes.
In this release we have resolved more than 80 issues and you can find a detailed list of the most important ones in the attached “What’s new” document. Most resolved issues are so exotic and obscure that there is little chance that you have or will run into any of them. Nevertheless, it is always a good idea to upgrade, as it only takes a few minutes and might save you some minor headaches in the future.
An interesting new feature has slipped into, literally the last minute: you can now import and export Jobs to and from WinAutomation using the command line, i.e. the WinAutomationController.exe which now supports the new /import and /export switches. This can be quite handy if you have many users working on different WinAutomation installations and you want to consolidate all their new and edited Jobs into a single Jobs database.
While we’ll continue fixing bugs in our forthcoming maintenance releases, at the same time we keep ourselves busy with some great new features for version 5. There is still a long road ahead, but we need your feedback and ideas on any features that you would like to be included in the next major version. Keep the suggestions coming!
